Patching Errors - February 12Source
#1 - 2013/02/13 12:31:00 AMWe're aware that many players are receiving the message An Unexpected Error Has Occurred patching up the Diablo III client to 1.0.7 and are currently investigating the issue. We'll provide an update in this thread once we have more information.
In the meantime, please note that you will not be prompted to download patch 1.0.7 until the patch is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.7 is live until those regions have also patched.
Thank you so much for your reports!
#100 - 2013/02/13 03:48:00 AMIf you're receiving the "An Unexpected Error Has Occurred" message, we'd really appreciate it if you could provide us with some information from your computer's Program Data.
The first set of data we'll need is your Agent logs. These logs can accessed from the following locations:
- C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Battle.net\Agent\Agent.XXXX\Logs
Open up the Agent folder with the highest four-digit #. Right-click on the "Logs" folder and save it as a compressed file (right-click > send to > compressed/zipped folder).
The second piece of data we'll need is the agent.db file. This file can be accessed in a similar location to your Agent logs.
- C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Battle.net\Agent\agent.db
Open the file with any text reader (for example, notepad.exe) and then save it as a text file to your computer.
Once you've saved both the Agent logs (as a compressed folder) and your agent.db (as a text file), please send them to email@example.com and title the email "Unexpected Error Has Occurred - D3 Agent Data."
Since the Agent logs can sometimes be fairly large, if the zip file exceeds what your email will allow, don't worry about it too much and just send us your agent.db. (As an alternative, of you have access to dropbox, you can always upload the zip file there and give us the link.)

Thanks! I passed this over to our technicians. :)
#189 - 2013/02/13 06:37:00 PMFirst, thank you to everyone who sent in their Agent logs and agent.db files! We sincerely appreciate your assistance in helping us get this issue addressed.
Second, we believe we were able to resolve the issue that was causing players to receive the "An Unexpected Error Has Occurred" message early this morning. If you are still receiving that specific error when patching, can you please let us know?
(Note: If you're experiencing a different error when patching, please call that out specifically.)
